This project on a Grade 1 Listed property consisted of a very sympathetic conversion of an office building into 12 flats, two cottages and two new houses that all inherit the grade one listed status. With full support from Historic England and Wychavon Conservation department the main building, that dates back over 1000 years, received minimal intervention in order to retain as much of its historic fabric as possible. The end result was so highly regarded it received a Distinction in Conservation award from Wychavon District Council. As the site is also on Scheduled Ancient Monument ground the alteration of the incoming services and drainage had to be very carefully managed. All of the materials and labour required to complete this £2 million conversion was sourced locally, within a 30-mile radius of Evesham.
